According to a recent permit filing, Capacity Social Club aims to open its doors at the Large Films Building at 807 NE Couch St.

A representative of Capacity Social Club was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.

While an official opening date and what Capacity Social Club plans to offer has yet to be revealed, according to the permit filing, Capacity will come from Glowbal World Domination LLC.

Bizapedia states that Glowbal World Domination LLC was filed approximately five months ago on September 25th, 2023. Listed on the business file and permit filing is Heather Styles Rae.

According to All Events, Glowbal World Domination is described as “Headquartered in beautiful Hood River, Glowbal is the brainchild of the illustrious Forrest Rae and Heather Styles with the mission to not take life too seriously, having fun, building community, comedy, art, and music in unique and inspiring ways.”

For the property itself, according to Loop Net, the building was built in 1974. “This great building is set up for food/beverage (cider, beer, urban winery, kombucha) and more. Located in the bustling and accessible Central Eastside this building is one block off East Burnside on the one-way Couch Couplet that has great access to freeways and the downtown core.”
