According to a recent permit filing, Akizawa Sushi has filed for a location in Downtown Portland at 507 SW Broadway.
A representative of Akizawa Sushi was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to the permit filing, Akizawa was filed for under Akizawa LLC.
Bizapedia states that Akizawa LLC was incorporated on October 27th, 2023. Listed on the business filing and the permit is Yanqiu Shen.
The permit filing states that Akizawa’s planned days of operation will be Tuesday through Saturday. Tuesday through Friday will be open from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, reopening from 5 PM to 8:30 PM.
Saturday will be open from 5 PM to 9 PM. The days and times for the planned operation will have no seasonal variation, according to the permit filing.
The property itself, according to Google, was home to Sophia Mediterranean Cuisine and Catering. OfficeSpace states the property is approximately 1,000 square feet.
