Gloria Martel is one of the people behind Domingo’s. Once Domingo’s opens its doors, the planned days of operation will be every day from 9 AM to 10 PM. These hours will also apply to the outdoor space.

Gloria is also one of the two owners of Santo Domingo Taqueria. The company’s website states, “Abraham and Gloria, owners of Santo Domingo Taqueria, arrived at this country from the same Region Mixteca of Oaxaca at very young ages, Abraham at 17 and Gloria at 21.”

“Abraham came to work in the fields of California and Oregon and Gloria to work in housekeeping, both in different industrial sectors but always thinking about how to improve and reduce the poverty of their families back home.”

Domingo’s would be replacing Pollo Norte’s former home. Yelp has marked Pollo Norte as permanently closed. Pollo Norte’s Facebook described the concept as “Mexico City-style rotisserie chicken, fresh salsas, organic tortillas and ridiculously good sides,” and that their last night of service was October 10th.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Thursday, October 10th will be Pollo Norte’s last night of service. We want to thank all of our customers, family, friends and employees for the gift of your energy, patronage and support over the last 10 years,” the post states.

According to Trulia, only one day after Pollo Norte’s last day of service, the property was purchased on October 11th. The building is stated to boast 4,400 square feet of space.
