A representative of Keeper Coffee was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.

According to the article, Keeper Coffee will be opening in early Spring 2025 alongside pFriem Family Brewers’ first Portland metro location.

“The spacious two-floor historic city hall building will be split between the taproom and a new location of southeast Portland-based Keeper Coffee, which will operate a morning and afternoon cafe and bakery. Keeper is known for house-made pastries and espresso drinks served in antique ceramics.”

According to Keeper Coffee’s company website, “Keeper Coffee is a woman-owned cafe selling local coffee and house-made pastries in Portland, OR.”

“Founded by Brittany Huff in 2019, she has always been a lover of good coffee and great food. Coming from the East Coast, Brittany got her first job in coffee in Baltimore at age 14, and before that, her childhood was spent in the back rooms of her family’s delis in New York. Food service as a career was a natural fit, but it’s clear that her early experiences have shaped not just what she does, but how.”

“At Keeper we love good coffee, good food, and community the most. We strive to create the best possible product and an even better experience.”

“Brittany founded Keeper as a place for people to come, drink an exceptional cup of coffee, and taste the passion in each bite of pastry that comes out of the kitchen. The homey vibes and inviting space were born from a unique, creative vision to make a space that feels like family.”

“Keeper Coffee is built on friendship, community, and good coffee. We source incredible beans from Coava, a Portland, OR roaster who is committed to long-term, sustainable partnerships with coffee producers.”

“Everything made to eat comes from the Keeper kitchen (and hearts). We partner with farmers in and around Portland to source fresh ingredients ensuring quality and flavor that rotate with the seasons.”

“We value our queer, trans, BIPOC, and houseless community. We are always learning and striving to do better and more. Please contact us, if you see an area we can improve in or have an organization or individual we can support.”
