“Our goal opening date for the public will be the very end of December,” co-owner Jonathan Loomis told What Now Portland.

“QD’s will be another space for Wild Child Pizza for food, combined with the blend of a neighborhood tavern vibe. The aesthetics will include stained glass fixtures, wood paneling, and cozy booths. We will also be open late at night for industry professionals and the post-bar crowd.”

“Aside from the interior design aspects, we will also have pinball machines and other video game options for customers to enjoy.”

“We purchased the building about a year ago, and the group behind QD’s also is behind other different bars such as La Palma, Jackie’s, and Two Wrongs, making this our fifth venture. We wanted to create a spot that was truly a late-night place that could provide comfort food but also serve up a fun cocktail bar vibe. The space is not a demographically focused one, it’s a neighborhood-focused space.”

When it comes to Wild Child Pizza, according to the company website, “Wild Child Pizza is a creative Detroit style pizzeria founded by Nate Higgins, Nick Armour, and Marcus Harvey, known for their successful companies Kure and Portland Gear. Located in both the vibrant Alberta Arts District and Nob Hill, the restaurant features rectangular pizzas with a 72-hour aged sourdough crust and a wide range of toppings, from traditional to “wild”, like BBQ chicken and rose harissa.”

“The menu includes both classic and original pizza creations, like pepperoni, cheese, supreme, harissa, and Maui Wowie, as well as salads, garlic bread sticks, and brownies. The thick-cut slices are perfect for dipping in one of Wild Child’s six house-made sauces, including Sriracha ranch and vegan green goddess ranch. The restaurant offers takeout and delivery, with online ordering available.”
