A representative of Moonshot Tavern was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.

While an official opening date and what Moonshot Tavern plans to offer have yet to be confirmed, according to the permit filing, the planned days of operation will be every day from 9 AM to 2:30 AM.

The days and times for planned operation will also apply to outdoors. The permit lists that there will be a food and alcohol service option provided for the outdoor operations. The business contact is listed as Allison Fordham.

When doing some research on the property itself, the location listed for Moonshot Tavern was once home to The Goose. According to The Goose’s company website, they are closed but still offer private event options.

“Conveniently located in the heart of Kerns Neighborhood on the corner of 28th and SE Ankeny, The Goose, offers Southwestern fare with hand-crafted cocktails made from scratch and a seasonally rotating margarita menu.”

“The Goose is ideal for small parties, or large gatherings. Our menu uses seasonally sourced ingredients, Hatch chiles, Southwestern spices, handmade corn tortillas cooked to order, and house-smoked meats—all paired perfectly with our large tequila and Mezcal selection and “best margarita menu,” the website states.
