A representative of Manning’s Country Kitchen was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.

While an official opening date and what the permit filing means for Manning’s Country Kitchen will entail, behind the filing is Richard Vireday.

Listed on the permit filing is another business contact information, with that business being Spirit’s Grove. According to the company website, “Spirit’s Grove encompasses 40 acres that are mostly (95%) undeveloped and natural forest.”

“There are a few small streams that run through the property, along with Sadd Creek and its 2 beaver ponds, beaver dams, and a busy wildlife highway between the ponds.”

“It is located off of Hayward Road, which once went to the Hayward Community, now known as Manning, Oregon. Spirit’s Grove has a 6700 sq/ft lodge with 2 levels. This amazing lodge was built in 1979 and has so much to enjoy.”

“The Lodge and outbuildings are visible as you come up 800 feet of forested driveway.  Buildings include the Lodge, Shop & Barn, Bunk House, Treatment Room, Well House, Gazebo, Wood Shed, and Main Room; the Dining Hall, the Kitchen, the Wine Tasting Room, and the bar.  In front of the lodge is a large oval driveway with a central grassy area that is great for outdoor concerts and ceremonies.”
