“We will be opening sometime between April and May. Something to look forward to with the Troutdale location is the collaborative space between us and the other businesses, alongside the beautiful views of Mt. Hood and the Gorge,” Micah Tyson, Nico’s Head of Operations, told What Now Portland.

“Troutdale will have the same menu as every other Nico’s location. The main and biggest thing we’re excited about is working with other businesses within the Gresham and Troutdale areas. These areas feel amazing to be a part of!”

“It has been a bit of a whirlwind with Nico’s going on a little over two years and now going onto three. We are very blessed by our community, and we wouldn’t be anywhere without them,” Micah added.

Nico’s website tells customers more about its history, stating, “My goal was to create the most unique, fun, and versatile ice cream company around. Within two months, I had a custom cart, my machine that I imported from New Zealand, and was sourcing fresh, local fruit from the Willamette Valley.”

“After a successful first summer with our one cart, we decided to open a brick & mortar location! We now have our location that opened November 2021, the cart we open seasonally throughout the city (and you can rent for your events), and our half pints sold at local restaurants.”
