A representative of The Whiskey Syndicate was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to their Instagram biography section, they plan to open their doors sometime soon. It also states that they are a “tapas bar and restaurant.”

Listed on the permit filing for planned days of operation are Saturdays from 8 PM to 2 AM, Sundays from 8 PM to 12 AM, and weekdays are listed as “TBD.”

According to Hancock Trading, “The Syndicate is a unique semi-private members club originating in Portland, Oregon.”

“While most private clubs are driven by revenue of members’ purchases, the Syndicate members pay a monthly due to the Syndicate management to operate the club, and all profits are placed into a “slush fund” to be utilized by the members for new club amenities, décor upgrade, special events and even outside rewards.”

“The members in return receive more autonomy and loyalty points that allow them to make purchases within the club.”
